What won the race: Ross Bailes of Clover, S.C., led all 40 laps at Cherokee Speedway to earn a $7,500 payday in the Ultimate Super Late Model Series-sanctioned Mike Butler Memorial.
Quotable: "I think we're really starting to hit our stride here. This car was really good tonight,” Bailes said in victory lane, thanking all his supporters. "There's one little boy I wish was here. It's his birthday. And that's my little boy, my little son Jordan. I wish my wife was here, to, but they had to leave early.”
Key notes: Second-starting Ross Bailes overtook pole sitter Trent Ivey of Union, S.C., on the opening lap and led the rest of the way for his 11th career Ultimate SE victory. ...
