What won the race: Fourth-starting Justin Zeitner of Malvern, Iowa, needed just three laps to take the lead then paced the final 22 circuits at Adams County Speedway to capture the Gail and Karen Hampel Memorial feature. The $3,500victory is the sixth of Zeitner's career with the Malvern Bank Series, moving him into sole possession of sixth on the tour's all-time win list.
Quotable: "I knew had to get the lead early," Zeitner said. "Clean air here is so important and I knew I had to get by (Pospisil). He's tough to beat, but I'm glad we got it done."
Key notes: Polesitter Tad Pospisil of Norfolk, Neb., led the first two laps before giving way to Zeitner and finished in the runner-up position, 2.549 seconds back. ... Jesse Sobbing of Malvern, Iowa, was third. ... Chad Holladay of Muscatine, Iowa, who captured Friday's victory on the sister Hoker Trucking Series in Columbus Junction, Iowa, finished fourth. ... Charlie McKenna of Ames, Iowa, advanced eight positions and finished 11th. ... Saturday's feature, the Malvern Bank Series' 18th visit to Adams County, went green-to-checkered and lasted only nine minutes, with 15 competitors completing 25 laps.
