What won the race: Fourth-starting Troy Springborn of Shawano, Wis., took the lead for good on lap eight and paced the final 23 circuits Friday at Sycamore Speedway, winning the Summer Sizzler feature and collecting $3,000. Springborn notched his third series victory of the season.
Key notes: Mike Spatola of Manhattan, Ill., led laps six and seven before giving way to Springborn and finishing 2.446 seconds back. ... Dirt Kings points leader Nick Anvelink of Bonduel, Wis., advanced 16 positions and finished third. ... Taylor Scheffler of Waukesha, Wis., led laps three and four before fading to finish fourth. ...
