Kyle Berck emerges in victory lane at Lakeside Speedway.
What won the race: Fourth-starting Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., took the lead before a caution on lap 10 and paced the final 13 laps Friday at Lakeside Speedway, topping the Malvern Bank West Series field for $3,000. Berck notched his tour-leading 97th career series victory.
Key notes: Jesse Sobbing of Malvern, Iowa, moved into the runner-up position on the last lap and finished 5.535 seconds behind Berck. ... Charlie McKenna of Ames, Iowa, led the first nine laps from the pole before fading to finish third. ... Jake Neal of Omaha, Neb., made a last-lap pass of his own, finishing fourth. ... Andrew Kosiski gained six positions and finished seventh. ... Paul Glendenning advanced nine positions and finished eighth. ...
