Chase Junghans celebrates his first WoO victory since 2019.
What won the race: Chase Junghans of Manhattan, Kan., led all 40 laps from the pole in Friday's Rick Eshelman Kansas Tribute Tour weekend opener at Humboldt Speedway, topping the World of Outlaws Case Late Model Series field for $10,000 in his home state. Junghans' victory is the fourth of his career with the Outlaws and his first since 2019 at Red Cedar (Wis.) Speedway.
Key notes: Junghans is the 21st winner in 38 series races this year. ... Dennis Erb Jr. of Carpentersville, Ill., finished 2.519 seconds back, earning his 19th top-five finish of the season and extending his series points lead. ... Max Blair used the bottom line to advance four positions, finishing third and now trails Tanner English by 58 points. ... Mike Marlar moved steadily through the field, taking fourth place on the final lap. ... Shane Clanton faded in the closing laps and finished seventh. ... Tanner English gained six spots and finished eighth, earning his 16th-straight top-10, but lost ground to Erb Jr. in the points chase. ...
