MERIDIAN, Miss. (Oct. 21) — Updates from Friday’s second 20-lap, $2,500-to-win semi-feature for the 28th annual Coors Light Fall Classic at Whynot Motorsports Park, which features a $12,000-to-win main event for Super Late Models on Saturday (results unofficial):
Second prelim feature
Polesitter Tyler Erb of New Waverly, Texas used a slide job to take the lead from fellow front-row starter Wil Herrington of Hawkinsville, Ga., on lap three and led the rest of the way in Friday's second 20-lap, $2,500 semifeature at Whynot Motorsports Park, on the opening night of the 28th annual Coors Light Fall Classic. Erb went on to finish 0.855 of a second ahead of Josh Putnam of Florence, Ala., who started third and fell back to fifth on the opening lap before regaining his composure and grabbing the second position on lap five.
Eighth-starting Neil Baggett of Columbus, Miss., rallied to finish third, while Morgan Bagley of Longview, Texas, improved 10 positions to secure the fourth position. Dalton Cook of Salem, Ala., picked up seven spots to round out the top five.
Friday's preliminary feature results will be used to set the starting lineup for Saturday's 60-lap, $12,000-to-win main event. Both Erb and Putnam will start from the pole position of their respective heats Saturday.
