Cade Dillard won his fourth career Comp Cams Super Dirt Series event.
What won the race: Cade Dillard of Robeline, La., overtook race-long leader Hunter Rasdon just before halfway and never looked back, winning Friday's $5,000 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series feature at 67 Speedway. Dillard secured his fourth career Comp Cams Series victory in his debut at the Tim Crawley-promoted track.
Quotable: “I kept looking at it (the outside groove in turns three and four) under caution and I thought there was a little bit left up there, just wasn’t sure and I didn’t want to kill what run I had going,” Dillard said. “I was being way too conservative there early and I seen him (Rasdon) start driving away, so I was like well I better make something happen here, just had to get on the wheel and make it happen up there.”
Key notes: Rasdon, of Jonesboro, Ark., settled for the runner-up position, 3.25 seconds back. ... Kyle Beard advanced two spots and finished third. ... Billy Moyer Jr. started and finished fourth. ... Reigning series champion Brian Rickman gained five spots and finished sixth. ... Jarret Stuckey moved forward 12 positions and finished seventh. ... Jon Kirby started 17th and finished ninth. ... Friday's feature, the third round of the 2023 Comp Cams race season, was slowed by three incidents, with the largest occurring on a lap-two restart attempt when Bubba Mullins spun at the entrance of turn one, collecting Joe Sanders, Brad Couch and Brett Frazier, ending their nights. … The Comp Cams Super Dirt Series concludes its weekend doubleheader with another $5,000-to-win feature Saturday at Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas.
On the move: Kylan Garner of Sarcoxie, Mo., started 22nd and finished eighth.
