What won the race: Seventh-starting Benji Hicks of Mount Airy, N.C., took the lead on lap 20 and paced the final 22 circuits at Lavonia Speedway, winning Friday's $7,500 Buck Simmons Memorial feature by over six seconds. Hicks notched his second career Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series feature victory and his first since 2018 at Cherokee Speedway.
Key notes: Brett Hamm moved into the runner-up position on the final lap and finished 6.009 seconds back. ... Second-starting Brent Dixon led the first 19 laps before fading to finish third. ... Cla Knight advanced four positions and finished sixth. ... Adam Yarbrough gained six spots and finished ninth. ... Matthew Nance was unhurt after his car flipped on lap 16, triggering the race's final caution. ...
