What won the race: Logan Roberson of Waynesboro, Va., utilized lapped traffic to take the lead on lap 15 and paced the final 42 circuits at Natural Bridge Speedway, winning Saturday's $10,000 Bridge 56 feature. Roberson, the 2021 American All-Star Series presented by PPM champion, returned to make a rare Crate Late Model start and scored the hometown victory, securing the 99th overall main event win of his career.
Quotable: “My Dad (was the key to winning), he was signaling, he told me that (Cody Overton) was on me them last couple laps, he told me don’t miss my marks, don’t leave the door open and I did all those things he told me to do,” Roberson said. “If it wasn’t for (my Dad), shoot I’d be lost, because he’s the one who really won that race, I just had to drive this thing. This is badass, my family is here, all my friends are here, it’s my home track. This is just awesome, I love all the fans here.”
Key notes: Fresh off a $5,000 win last weekend at Virginia Motor Speedway, fourth-starting Cody Overton moved into the runner-up position on a lap-23 restart and trailed Roberson the rest of the way, finishing 0.36 of a second back. ... Polesitter Jeremy Steele led the first 14 laps before fading to finish fifth. ... Jesse Lowe started eighth and finished sixth. ...
