NORFOLK, Neb. (July 24) — Updates from the opening night of the Elkhorn 100, an event sanctioned by the XR Super Series and highlighted by two $5,000-to-win preliminary semifeatures for Super Late Models (results unofficial):
Semifeature
Pole-starting Devin Moran of Dresden, Ohio, led all 25 laps of Monday’s opening XR Super Series semifeature at Off Road Speedway’s Elkhorn 100. Turning back a last-ditch charge from runner-up Bobby Pierce, Moran earned $5,000 and earned the pole for the following night’s $100,000-to-win main event, the richest-ever purse paid in Nebraska.
