Billy Moyer Jr. and his winning team at Arrowhead Speedway.
What won the race: Fending off his dad after a handful of cautions, second-starting Billy Moyer Jr. of Batesville, Ark., pulled off the clean sweep in Friday’s Comp Cams Super Dirt Series Green County 50 at Arrowhead Speedway. Leading all the way over his father, Billy Sr., Moyer earned $5,000 for his first series victory of the season and 20th of his career.
Quotable: “We've been close a lot, been consistent," winner Billy Moyer Jr. said. "The car was really, really good right there. You know, hate it for the fans that it wasn't a super racy track, but I promise you it wasn't easy. I was trying to hit my marks and keep going."
Key notes: Billy Moyer Jr. topped his father by 0.758 of a second. ... Five cautions slowed the 50-lapper, with third-running Tony Jackson Jr. retiring on lap 34 with a flat right-rear tire. … Tenth-running Joe Gorby saw his race end on lap 30. ... Chance Mann was the race's first retiree on lap 11. ... Fifteen starters finished on the lead lap in the feature that lasted 22 minutes. ... The Comp Cams Super Dirt Series heads to Caney Valley Speedway on Saturday for the $5,000-to-win James House Memorial.
On the move: Jon Kirby of Russellville, Ark., started 12th and finished eighth.
