Hometown driver Cole Searing stands triumphant in victory lane.
What won the race: Third-starting Cole Searing of Huron, S.D., needed just four laps to take the lead at Dakota State Fair Speedway as he led the final 27 circuits to win Saturday's $1,500 Repairable Vehicles.com Tri-State Late Model Series feature. Extending his series points lead, Searing secured his fifth tour victory of the season and the seventh of his career.
Key notes: Josh Skorczewski led the first three laps from the pole before being overtaken by Searing and settling for second, 3.195 seconds back. ... After earning an emotional victory in Friday's $1,500 opener at Miller Central Speedway, Brian Diede finished third at his home track. ... Shane DeMey battled Diede for several laps before finishing fourth. ... Gary Brown Jr. and Dustin Arthur each advanced four positions, finishing fifth and seventh. ... Cody Martin gained nine spots and finished 10th. ... Saturday's main event was slowed by one caution and lasted 18 minutes with 13 competitors completing 25 laps and 21 running at the finish. ... Jon Haase scratched from the feature.
