What won the race: Second-starting Logan Martin of West Plains, Mo., overcame a late-race restart to lead all 40 laps en route to winning Saturday's $5,000 Comp Cams Super Dirt Series feature at Springfield Raceway. Martin further extended his series points lead in notching his second victory of the season, his first since March 15 at Arrowhead Speedway in Colcord, Okla.
Quotable: “I love this place, it’s one of the raciest tracks in Missouri, one of the raciest tracks in the country,” Martin said. “It may not got to show that in the feature, but time and time again you come out here, it always puts on a good show. I’m super appreciative of the effort (track owner) Jerry (Hoffman) puts in.”
Key notes: Martin has 13 career Comp Cams victories. ... Fourth-starting Sawyer Crigler grabbed second on a lap-25 restart and pressured Martin the final 16 laps, finishing 0.461 of a second back. ... Justin Wells slowed from seventh to cause the third stoppage on lap 14. He continued for 10 more laps before calling it a night. ... Cole Wells slowed from eighth to bring out the sixth and final yellow flag on lap 36, setting up a five-lap dash to the finish. ... Polesitter Timothy Culp, who ended up ninth, competed in weekend series action for his first tour races since 2023. ... The main event lasted 36 minutes, with 17 drivers completing 40 laps.
