What won the race: Hall of Famer Jeff Aikey of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, overtook polesitter Kyle Berck on the 16th lap Saturday at Knoxville Raceway for a $4,000 Maschmann Memorial victory on the Malvern Bank-sponsored sister tours. Driving a Greg Bruening-owned Skyline Motorsports car for the first time, the 62-year-old Aikey took the checkers 0.838 of a second ahead of 13th-starting Bill Leighton Jr. in the nonstop feature.

Quotable: "I've been friends with Greg Bruening and Tyler Bruening pretty much all my life and this is a dream come true to sit in that seat of that (No.) 16 car and do it for Greg Bruening and the crew," Aikey said. "I'm telling you what, what a bad-ass hotrod. That thing was bad to the bone when we unloaded."

Key notes: Aikey picked up a $2,550 bonus as the Skyline Materials Lucky Sixth-Place Starter. ... Fifth-finishing Tad Pospisil led the first five laps from outside the front row before polesitter Kyle Berck took command. ... Aikey overtook Berck 11 laps later and Berck settled for fourth. ...
