Matthees goes Electric for first Dart win since '03

GREAT FALLS, Mont. (July 17) — Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., won from the pole position at Electric City Speedway for his first victory on the Dart Challenge Series in five seasons. Matthees earned $2,000 for his fourth career series victory and first since July 23, 2003, at Dodge County Speedway in Kasson, Minn. Kyle Peterlin of Hibbing, Minn., was second followed by Canadian Joel Cryderman of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Wisconsin drivers Pat Doar of New Richmond and Steve Laursen of Cumberland rounded out the top five at the 3/10-mile oval.
