Blair pockets $2,500 at Central Mississippi
WINONA, Miss. (Sept. 8) — Jay Blair of Angie, La., pocketed $2,500 at Central Mississippi Speedway as he snapped Mike Boland's four-race winning streak on the Saturn of Jackson Super Six Crate Late Model Challenge. Blair topped Anthony Rushing, Randall Beckwith, Boland and Chad Thrash in the Tim & Adam Mitchell Memorial. Boland entered the event with the 171-point lead over Darin Dorsey in the series that wraps up Sept. 22 at Jackson (Miss.) Motor Speedway.
The event was a tribute to Tim Mitchell, the late son-in-law of track owners Brenda and Billy Wayne Beckwith, and his son Adam, who was nine when they died in a 2004 plane crash. The event was also a fund-raiser for the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson. — From track and series reports
