Tangle opens door for Stovall's win at Malden
From series reports
MALDEN, Mo. (Aug. 8) — Polesitter Jesse Stovall of Galena, Mo., inherited the lead on the 19th lap after a tangle among frontrunners and led the rest of the 30-lap O'Reilly Mid-South Racing Association feature at Malden Speedway. Stovall earned $2,000 for his first career series victory in a race slowed by four cautions. Front-row starter Jordan Jones of Beebe, Ark., led the first 18 laps, but a tangle with challenger Kyle Beard of Trumann, Ark., caused both cars to go off turns one and two. They had to restart on the tail and Stovall cruised the rest of the way. Jon Kirby of Russellville, Ark., ended up second followed by Joey Mack of Benton, Mo., who rallied from his 15th starting spot.
