Kerr goes distance for $4,000 victory at Boyd's

RINGGOLD, Ga. (Aug. 8) — Tommy Kerr of Maryville, Tenn., grabbed his third career victory on the Advance Auto Parts Thunder Series in a caution-plagued event at Boyd's Speedway. The polesitting Kerr led all 40 laps to earn $4,000 in outrunning Rick Rogers of Knoxville, Tenn. Hometown driver Jamie Perry was third followed by Stacy Boles of Clinton, Tenn., and Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn. Three-time series champion Anthony White of Clinton started on the front row but spun at the outset and ended up ninth in a race slowed by nine cautions and a 17-minute red flag. | Slideshow
