Phillips edges teammate, wins $3,000 at Sedalia

SEDALIA, Mo. (Aug. 17) — Outside front-row starter Terry Phillips of Springfield, Mo., overtook polesitter and teammate Jeremy Payne on the 11th lap and led the rest of the 30-lap O'Reilly Midwest LateModel Racing Association event at State Fair Speedway. Phillips, whose last victory at Sedalia came in 2006, earned $3,000 for his series-leading 92nd career MLRA victory. Payne settled for second followed by John Anderson of Omaha, Neb., Al Purkey of Coffeyville, Kan. and Jeremy Grady of Story City, Iowa. | Slideshow
