Fastrak Northeast SeriesHAMMETT, Pa. (Aug. 24) — After falling back as far as eighth, Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., used late-race traffic to his advantage to overtake race-long leader Tom Snyder Jr. with five laps remaining at Eriez Speedway and become the first two-time winner on the Fastrak Northeast Series.
"I got shuffled back there," the 18-year-old winner said following his $1,200 victory. "I started picking them off one at a time and didn't know if I could get him (Snyder). I had to make a split second decision in traffic and it worked."
The polesitting Snyder settled for second while Butch Lambert, John Lacki and Dennis Lunger Jr. rounded out the top five.
