Doar wins $3,500 finale as Matthees gets title

HIBBING, Minn. (Aug. 30) — Starting outside the front row, Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., overtook hometown driver Bobby Carlson at Hibbing Raceway and went on to earn $3,500 for his third Dart Challenge Series victory of the year.
Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., finished second in Hibbing's Labor Day Shootout, enough to clinch the series championship. Carlson finished third followed by Canadian Joel Cryderman of Thunder Bay, Ontario, and Steve Laursen of Cumberland, Wis.
