Feger stays hot, races to Kamp 50 victory

BOSWELL, Ind. (Sept. 20) — Increasing his winnings to $10,000 over two weekends, Jason Feger of Bloomington, Ill., captured the Kamp 50 at Kamp Motor Speedway for a $5,000 victory in a UMP DIRTcar Series special. The fifth-starting Feger, who earned $5,000 the previous weekend for a Northern Allstars victory in Paducah, Ky., took the lead from Dan Walden of Crawfordsville, Ind., early in the event and held off Billy Faust of Lebanon, Ill., the rest of the way for the victory. | Slideshow
Faust settled for second followed by Brian Ruhlman of Clarklake, Mich., Richie Hedrick of Urbana, Ill., and Eric Smith of Bloomington. Wes Steidinger of Fairbury, Ill., winner of the UMP DIRTcar Summernationals victory at Kamp, was sixth and Walden faded to seventh. Early leader Kerry Mathew of Rensselaer, Ind., was 16th.
