Breazeale wins from pole at Deep South
From track and team reports
LOXLEY, Ala. (Oct. 4) — David Breazeale of Four Corners, Miss., raced to a $3,000 victory in the first Mississippi State Championship Challenge race at Deep South Speedway in more than two years. In notching his 14th career MSCC victory, the polesitting Breazeale led all the way, averting disaster when he struck debris on the track with five laps remaining and finished on a deflating tire. The winner outran fellow front-row starter Scott Slay of Clinton, Miss., along with Tennessee invaders Vic Hill and Rick Rogers. Hill ended up second followed by Slay, Rogers and series points David Ashley of Zachary, La., who started in the fifth row alongside Rogers.
