Buckingham gets Grand Nationals win at Lavonia

LAVONIA, Ga. (Oct. 4) — Shanon Buckingham of Morristown, Tenn., captured an opening event on the Fastrak Racing Series Grand Nationals at Lavonia Speedway. Buckingham won the caution-free 50-lapper over Jonathan Davenport of Blairsville, Ga., and Kenny Peeples Jr. of Rural Retreat, Va. Georgia drivers Royce Bray of Hull and Parker Herring of Hartwell rounded out the top five finishers.
The Grand Nationals continue Oct. 15-16 at Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, N.C., and Oct. 17-18 at Wythe Raceway in Rural Retreat, Va., with the overall Fastrak ending the weekend with a $50,000 payoff.
