Prochnow leads 40 laps at Deer Creek's Hartland Nationals

SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (Oct. 4) — Mike Prochnow of Menomonie, Wis., led all 40 laps of the WISSOTA-sanctioned Hartland Nationals at Deer Creek Speedway for a $4,000 victory in the season finale. Starting outside the front row, Prochnow took command early and dominated the season-ender. “You had to have a tight car out here on this track,” Prochnow said. “We had that and it worked out.”
Brent Larson of Lake Elmo, Minn., ended up second followed by Jake Redetzke of Eau Claire, Wis., Justin Fegers of Mound, Minn., and Keith Foss of Winona, Minn. Adam Hensel of Barron, Wis., grabbed second from Larson on the 13th lap but dropped out of the race two laps later, drawing the only yellow flag of the race.
Prochnow's victory was his second of the season at Deer Creek.
