Hogge, Moore win at Bakersfield's Bud Nationals

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (Oct. 10-11) — A pair of drivers piloting hometown Victory Circle chassis dominated the 23rd annual Budweiser West Coast Dirt Nationals at Bakersfield Speedway. Bobby Hogge IV of Salinas, Calif., picked up $2,000 for winning Friday's opening feature while Dean Moore of Grand Junction, Colo., earned $3,000 in Saturday's finale. | Saturday slideshow | Friday slideshow
Hogge finished third in Saturday's 50-lapper and had the best combined finishes on the weekend. Andy Obertello of Hollister, Calif., and A.J. Kirkpatrick of Castroville, Calif., also posted top-five finishes in the 30- and 50-lap events at the quarter-mile Bakersfield oval in the unsanctioned competition. Moore's victory came the day before his 48th birthday.
