Stovall rules NCRA-TORA weekend at Thunderhill

MAYETTA, Kan. (Oct. 17-18) — Jesse Stovall of Galena, Mo., swept both features at Thunder on the Hill II at Thunderhill Speedway for a pair of weekend victories worth more than $4,500 on two O'Reilly Auto Parts-sponsored tours. The victories were his first-ever with the National Championship Racing Association and Topless Outlaw Racing Association.
In the opener, Stovall started on the pole and led every lap, outrunning John Anderson of Omaha, Neb., for a $1,500 victory, while he topped Kelly Boen of Henderson, Colo., in the finale for a $3,000 check. Stovall, Anderson, Boen and Kyle Berck of Marquette, Neb., all recorded a pair of top-five finishes apiece in the season-ending event at the Kansas oval.

Kyle Berck broke a motor in Friday's action, took a provisional and rallied to finish fourth. ... Bryant Goldsmith was invovled in an early caution in Friday's but rallied to finish fifth. ... On Saturday, Justin Kinderknecht's car barrel-rolled down the backstretch atop the cement wall. He was shaken up but uninjured. ... Kelly Boen took the points lead from Kyle Berck with his second- and third-place finishes. Boen leads Berck by five points heading into the O'Reilly NCRA finale Oct. 26 at Enid (Okla.) Speedway.
