Kinzer sails at Duck River as Michael takes SRRS title
From series reports
WHEEL, Tenn. (Nov. 8) — Brandon Kinzer of Allen, Ky., overtook polesitter and fellow front-row starter Byron Michael of Florence, Ala., on the 28th lap and went on to a $3,000 victory in Southern Regional Racing Series action at Duck River Speedway.
Michael, however, held on to finish second in the Hastings-Smith Memorial and received a nice consolation prize for his evening's work as he wrapped up his second consecutive SRRS championship. Daniel Miller of nearby Shelbyville, Tenn., finished third in the 2008 series finale with Eric Turner of Hermitage, Mo., fourth in his Duck River debut. Brandon King of Decatur, Ala., who finished second in series points, rounded out the top five.
