Thrash captures Super Six finale at Jackson

BYRAM, Miss. (Sept. 22) — Chad Thrash captured one of the biggest victories of his career with a victory in the finale of the Saturn of Jackson Super Six Challenge for crate Late Models at Jackson Motor Speedway. Thrash, of Brandon, Miss., started inside the third row and raced to a victory at the newly-reopened quarter-mile oval south of Jackson.
Polesitter Darin Dorsey of Brandon finished second followed by Marcus Frisch of Eros, La., Jamie Smith of Purvis, Miss., and hometown driver Gary Cooper. Mike Boland, who had already clinched the Super Six championship, was the second fastest qualifier but finished last in the 15-car field.
