Ragan grabs SRRS victory from pole at North Alabama
TUSCUMBIA, Ala. (April 24) — Polesitter Chris Ragan of Corinth, Miss., won at North Alabama Speedway for his first career victory on the Southern Regional Racing Series. Ragan pocketed $3,000 at the quarter-mile oval.
SRRS points leader Jay Brinkley of Shelbyville, Tenn., who started fifth, finished second followed by Shelbyville's Daniel Miller and former series champion David Gentry of Lewisburg, Tenn. Tyler Landers of Shelbyville rounded out the top five.
Notes: Ragan drives a Brown Engineering-powered Trak-Star chassis sponsored by Southeastern Ag Transport. ... Ragan has won his last three starts after sweeping the April 17-18 regular season events at North Alabama and Moulton (Ala.) Speedway. ... A frontstretch scramble among drivers in the middle of the pack eliminated drivers including Mark Mears and Tony Morris. ...
