Dupont rolls at Arcade for first career victory

Northern Tier United Late Model SeriesDELEVAN, N.Y. (May 15) — Starting on the pole and outrunning his fellow front-row starter after a mid-race caution, Jason Dupont of Cyclone, Pa., grabbed a 30-lap Northern Tier United Late Model Series victory at Arcade International Raceway, his first career Super Late Model victory. Dupont, who chased Mike Knight of Ripley, N.Y., the first half of the race, pulled away after a lap-14 yellow for the $2,100 victory in front of a large crowd.
Bob Close of Eldred, Pa., overtook Knight with four laps remaining to finish second while Knight, Bump Hedman of Sugar Grove, Pa., and former track champion Ed Carley of Freedom, N.Y., rounded out the top five.
