Blair reels in $12,000 victory at McKean County

EAST SMETHPORT, Pa. (Sept. 28-29) — Rob Blair of Titusville, Pa., earned $12,000 for one of the richest victories of his career at McKean County Raceway in the United Late Model Series-sanctioned Priority Care RaceFan 50. | Slideshow
Blair started on the pole and led every lap to outrun fellow front-row starter Boom Briggs in the closing event of the second annual Fall Classic weekend. Rodney Phillips was third followed by ninth-starting Bob Close in a 50-lap race slowed by a pair of cautions on lap 32. Chub Frank, who won Friday's feature event, started 19th and finished 11th.
In Friday's Dave Lundgren Memorial, Doug Eck led the first 13 laps before Frank took command for the remainder of the 30-lapper. Eck settled for second followed by Chad Ruhlman, who improved 15 positions to finish third. Bob Close and Luke Hoffner rounded out the top five.
Friday night's event had 67 entries while 59 drivers entered on Saturday. Blair and Frank both tallied their second career ULMS feature victories. (Information provided by Dustin Jarrett)
