Polesitting Doar wins at Viking for two in a row
ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (July 7) — Four-time series champion Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., won from the pole position Tuesday at Viking Speedway for his second straight victory on the Dart Challenge Series. Doar earned $2,000 on the WISSOTA-sanctioned tour for his series-leading 23rd career victory
Steve Laursen of Cumberland, Wis., rallied from 12th to finish second while seventh-starting Brad Seng of Grand Forks, N.D., was third ahead of reigning track champion Jeff Wildung of Nassua, Minn., who started 20th.
Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., finished sixth and grabbed the points lead over Don Copp of Brule, Wis., who finished 18th.
Midweek events continued on the series with Wednesday's event at Madison (Minn.) Speedway and Thursday's event at Casino Speedway in Watertown, S.D.
