Cryderman earns $10,000 in South Dakota special
ABERDEEN, S.D. (July 11) — New race name, same result for Canadian driver Joel Cryderman. The driver of the No. 51 from Thunder Bay, Ontario, captured the Brown County Extravaganza on Saturday at Brown County Speedway, earning $10,000 for one of WISSOTA's richest Late Model events of the year.
Cryderman, who won the track's mid-July Rumble event in 2000 and 2005-07, won the race to the checkered flag over over Lance Matthees of Winona, Minn., and hometown driver Chad Becker for the lucrative victory. Jeff Wildung of Nassau, Minn., and Keith Foss of Winona, Minn., rounded out the top five in the event that drew 37 Late Models.
