Slay extends MSCC lead with victory at Jackson
BYRAM, Miss. (Aug. 8) — Scott Slay of Clinton, Miss., extended his series points lead at Jackson Motor Speedway with his second victory of the season on the Mississippi State Championship Challenge. The third-starting Slay earned $2,500 for the victory.
Jimmy Cliburn of Star, Miss., was the runner-up followed by 12th-starting Chris McElhenney of Decatur, Miss., Jeremy Broadus of Biloxi, Miss., and Steve Bryan of Collinsville, Miss. Polesitter Bub McCool of Vicksburg, Miss., was 19th.
