English wins Coakley Memorial weekend opener
NEBO, Ky. (Aug. 22) — Terry English of Benton, Ky., won the opening race of the Wayne Coakley Memorial weekend at Western Kentucky Speedway near Madisonville. English powered to victory in the Scott Clippinger Racing No. 16c and earned $3,300 in a National All Star Racing Association event honoring the Sacramento, Ky., driver killed in a highway accident after a race 20 years ago. | Slideshow
Aaron Ridley of Chatsworth, Ga., was second followed by Kevin Cole of Christopher, Ill. Marty O'Neal of Spencer, Ind., was fourth and Tin Tungate of Campbellsville, Ky.
