Melvin wins Windy Hollow's Coakley Memorial
OWENSBORO, Ky. (Aug. 23) — Third-starting Rodney Melvin of Benton, Ill., raced to victory in the Wayne Coakley Memorial in a rare Late Model event at the D-shaped Windy Hollow Speedway. Melvin earned $3,000 for the National All Star Racing Association victory. | Slideshow
Front-row starter Aaron Ridley of Chatsworth, Ga., was second followed by a pair of Campbellsville, Ky., drivers, Tim Tungate and Justin Rattliff. Polesitter Terry English of Benton, Ky., who won the previous night's Coakley Memorial at Western Kentucky Speedway in Nebo, rounded out the top five.
