Carrier flag-to-flag at Rocky Top for $5,000
COAL GROVE, Ohio (Sept. 4) — Polesitter Eddie Carrier Jr. of Salt Rock, W.Va., earned $5,000 for leading all the way in the third annual Engines Inc. 50 at Rocky Top Raceway. Carrier took the checkered flag ahead of fast qualifier Josh McGuire of Grayson, Ky., who challenged Carrier amid traffic in the final 10 laps. | Slideshow
McGuire settled for second in an unsanctioned special event twice postponed by rain. Jackie Boggs of Grayson was third followed by Rick Combs of Sardinia, Ohio, and R.J. Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio.
