Smith grabbed the lead from the outset and shook off a persistent Mike Wiarda throughout the first half of the race to stay in control. Two quick yellows for Matt Buller slowed the action early, but when the leaders entered lapped traffic, it was smooth sailing for Smith.
Wiarda, of Aurora, Neb., finished second followed by Jason Friesen of Sutton, Neb. Al Humphrey of Giltner, Neb., and Jimmy Segraves of Valley Center, Kan., rounded out the top five.
