Weaver dominates SRRS stop at Boyd's

Boyd's SpeedwayRINGGOLD, Ga. (Oct. 2) — Randy Weaver notched his third special event victory of the season at Boyd's Speedway with Friday's Southern Regional Racing Series triumph. The fast-qualifying Weaver, piloting the Bob Harris-owned No. B1 GRT Race Car, led flag-to-flag for the OctoberFast victory worth $3,000 at the track near the Tennessee-Georgia border.
Ray Cook of Brasstown, N.C., finished second with Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., Billy Ogle Jr. of Knoxville, Tenn., and Jake Knowles of Tyrone, Ga., rounding out the top five. SRRS points leader Jay Brinkley of Shelbyville, Tenn., finished ninth in the 40-lapper.
