Lathroum grabs $3,000 victory at Williams Grove
MECHANICSBURG, Pa. (April 9) — Jamie Lathroum of Mechanicsville, Md., feeling right at home in Mechanicsburg, raced to a victory in the Three State Flyers tour opener Friday at Williams Grove Speedway. Lathroum, leading all but the first lap, earned $3,000 in the 35-lap feature. | Slideshow
Reigning series champion Jason Covert of York Haven, Pa., rallied from his 10th starting spot to finish second followed by D.J. Myers of Greencastle, Pa., who led only the first lap at the half-mile oval. Nick Dickson of Lewistown, Pa., and Dan Stone of Thompson, Pa., rounded out the top five finishers.

Lathroum finished 2.72 seconds ahead of Covert, who was up to second after just 14 laps. ... Lance Dewease won the 25-lap sprint car feature for his 71st career Williams Grove victory. ...
