Walters outduels young Biffle at Sunset

BANKS, Ore. (May 1) — Eighth-starting Greg Walters of Banks won a side-by-side duel with race-long leader Brandon Biffle of Vancouver, Wash., just past the halfway point of a 40-lap DAA Crate Late Model Series feature and went on to victory at Sunset Speedway.
Walters earned his second consecutive victory to open the season on the Sherwin-Williams-sponsored series for Crate Late Models in the Northwest. Biffle, the nephew of NASCAR star Greg Biffle, finished second after leading the first 25 laps with polesitter Russ Sell, Jerry Schram and Steve Moore rounding out the top five at the quarter-mile oval. | Slideshow
Three cautions slowed the action, none for seriously incidents. Doug Trout spun between turns three and four on the 17th lap; debris brought out a lap-20 yellow; and the final caution appeared for Ronnie Saner's frontstretch spin on lap 21.
