Coffman tops Indiana invaders at Ponderosa

Ponderosa SpeedwayJUNCTION CITY, Ky. (May 14) — Hometown driver Todd Coffman took the lead on the third lap and led the rest of the way at Ponderosa Speedway for a victory in the first visit by the Indiana Crate Late Model Series for crate engine cars. Series points leader Zak Blackwood of Columbus, Ind., was second followed by Jeremy Hines of Bedford, Ind. Polesitter Chase McWhorter of Kings Mountain, Ky., who led the first lap, was fourth and reigning ILMS champ Steve Godsey of Bedford, Ind., rounded out the top five. P.J. Feistritzer of Danville, Ky., led the second lap but faded to a ninth-place finish.
