Kirchoff gets redemption with home-track victory
GILLETTE, Wyo. (May 15) — Rebounding from a disappointing loss the previous night, hometown driver Eddie Kirchoff led all 30 laps of Saturday's feature at Gillette Thunder Speedway. The polesitting Kirchoff earned $1,200 for his third Colorado Late Model Association DIRTcar Series victory in four 2010 starts.
Dan Henrikson, who won the previous night at Black Hills Speedway when a broken wheel knocked the dominating Kirchoff out of the lead late, finished second at Gillette. Fellow Rapid City, S.D., drivers Eric Mass and Matt Sheesley were next while 11th-starting Dave Garmann of Milliken, Colo., rounded out the top five.
