McGuire leads all 40 laps for $4,000 at Rocky Top

COAL GROVE, Ohio (June 18) — Josh McGuire of Grayson, Ky., led all 40 laps Friday at Rocky Top Raceway, cruising to a $4,000 victory in the GCP Engines Showdown.
Fast qualifer Tim Dohm of Cross Lanes, W.Va., finished second with Greggie Oliver of Jackson, Ohio, in third. Shannon Thornsberry of Martin, Ky., and Jason Montgomery of Jackson rounded out the top five in the unsanctioned event. Jackie Boggs of Grayson and Rod Conley of Wheelersburg, Ohio, battled for second early in the race before departing with mechanical problems.
Notes: McGuire’s Rayburn Race Car is sponsored by U.S. Steel, Mar-Kel Enterprises, Sebco Inc. and K&E Trucking. ... The victory was McGuire’s fourth of 2010. ... The winner survived a sneeze on the white-flag lap. “Freaked me out,” McGuire wrote on his team’s Facebook page. “Thought I was going to lose it!” ...
