Lucas collects $10,000 for Southern 100 victory

MILTON, Fla. (Nov. 16-17) — Polesitter Shep Lucas of McKenzie, Ala., led every lap of the Southern 100 for a $10,000 victory in one of the nation's richest crate engine Late Model events.
Jordy Nipper of Gray, Ga., finished second at Southern Raceway while Mike Boland of Cuba, Ala., who won the event two years ago under Super Late Model rules, was third. Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., was fourth followed by Devin Jones of Baker, Fla.
