(Nov. 24) — The second day of the seventh annual Possum Town Grand Prix at Columbus Speedway was rained out and rescheduled for the following Saturday, Dec. 1. A steady drizzle that began early in Saturday's afternoon session forced cars off the track, and officials announced the postponement about 20 minutes later.
Events set for next week include the $5,000-to-win Possum Town Grand Prix finale, an unsanctioned event for Super Late Models, and the $3,000-to-win finale for the StormPay.com Dirt Late Model Series, a crate series. There are also two all-star events scheduled for the crate competitors.
In Friday's preliminaries at Columbus, Mike Boland of Cuba, Ala., earned $2,000 for a Super Late Model victory and Steve Godsey of Bedford, Ind., picked up $2,000 for a crate victory.
