Miley leads 40 laps for Wayne County victory
ORRVILLE, Ohio (Aug. 2) — Polesitter Jared Miley of South Park, Pa., led every lap of Monday’s Summer Sizzler 40 at Wayne County Speedway for his second career victory on the O’Reilly All Star Late Model Series. Miley earned $4,000 for taking the checkers more than two seconds ahead of eighth-starting Clint Smith of Senoia, Ga.
Fast qualifier Gregg Satterlee of Rochester Mills, Pa., was third followed by Donnie Moran of Dresden, Ohio. Jason Flory of Creston, Ohio, who held the second spot early, rounded out the top five.
Series points leader Robbie Blair of Titusville, Pa., rallied from his 17th starting spot to finish sixth, earning Frankland Racing Supply Hard Charger honors.
Seven cautions slowed the action, including one for a lap-13 tangle between Jeremy Canada and Greg Oakes. A lap-22 yellow appeared for an incident involving Oakes, Eric Myers, John Garvin Jr., Corey Conley and Jim Rasey.
