Lloyd leads flag to flag for Waycross victory
WAYCROSS, Ga. (Sept. 11) — Polesitter Ivedent Lloyd Jr. of Ocala, Fla., led every lap Saturday at Waycross Motor Speedway for his series-leading fifth victory on the United Dirt Late Model Challenge Series. Lloyd earned $3,000.
Mark Whitener of Middleburg, Fla., who started fifth but went to the tail after an early scramble with Mike Nasworthy, rallied to finish second at the half-mile oval. Tyler Ivey of Tallahassee, Fla., was third followed by Keith Nosbisch of Valrico, Fla., and Darrell Padgett of Jacksonville, Fla.
Five cautions slowed the action with the Whitener-Nasworthy incident the only multiple-car accident. Three cautions were for Chuck Chitty's stalling machine. Johnny Collins dropped out on the 35th lap with a flat left-rear tire.
