Schiltz captures Dirt Wars finale at I-77 Speedway
CHESTER, S.C. (Sept. 24) — Fast qualifier Jimmy Schiltz of Taylorsville, N.C., won the final race of NDRA's three-race Dirt Wars on Friday while Dennis Franklin of Gaffney, S.C., and Ron Parker of Lawndale, N.C., were declared co-champions of the miniseries for Crate Late Models. | Slideshow
Schiltz earned $3,000 by leading all 50 laps for the victory while Franklin and Parker finished second and third. Franklin and Parker had identical finishes during the three races and share the title.
Notes: It was announced NDRA competitors will run as a support division to the World of Outlaws Late Model Series on Oct. 13 at the Dirt Track at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.
